under construction stage: construction
1.2 bn PLN
programme budget (multi-year) · data from 2026 ≈ 1.2 bn PLN (value-by-stage, est., nominal) funding: National Recovery Plan (EU) over PLN 900 million

A new T5 terminal being built on an area of approx. 21 ha reclaimed from the sea in the Baltic Hub area at the Port of Gdańsk, carried out on behalf of the company Istrana (85% owned by the Polish Development Fund, 15% by Baltic Hub). In the first years of operation, the terminal is to serve as an installation base for offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea. The facility will be equipped with two deepwater quays (451 m on the north-western side and 349 m on the northern side). The entire 21.3 ha terminal was leased by the company Elektrownia Wiatrowa Baltica 2, owned by PGE and Ørsted, for the installation of the Baltica 2 offshore wind farm. The cost of the investment is approx. PLN 1.18 billion, of which over PLN 900 million is funding from the National Recovery Plan. In April 2026 the progress of the reinforced concrete works was 85%, and completion of construction was planned for the third quarter of 2026.

Significance

The T5 terminal is intended to become Poland's key installation base for offshore wind energy in the Baltic Sea. The entire facility was leased by the company Baltica 2 (PGE and Ørsted) for the construction of the Baltica 2 farm with a capacity of approx. 1.5 GW, making T5 a staging base for the assembly of offshore turbines from a Polish port. The investment physically expands the area of the Port of Gdańsk by more than 21 ha of land reclaimed from the sea and strengthens Gdańsk's role in the supply chain for offshore projects on the Polish coast.
