Deepwater Container Terminal in Świnoujście (Przylądek Pomerania)
Construction of a new outer port in Świnoujście under the working name Przylądek Pomerania: approximately 186 hectares of reclaimed land on the right-bank part of the city, a port basin with a depth of 17 m, nearly 3 km of quays, and a deepwater container terminal with a 1.3 km quay and a handling capacity of 2 million TEU per year. The investor is Zarząd Morskich Portów Szczecin i Świnoujście S.A.; after the final agreement with the DEME–QTerminals consortium was not concluded in November 2025, the project is to be carried out independently by state entities. Physical construction started on 13 July 2026 with the technical road; completion is planned for approximately 2030, and the estimated total cost is approximately PLN 10 billion.

Significance
The terminal is intended to give Polish ports the capacity to handle the largest container vessels — quays for 400-metre vessels and a basin with a depth of 17 m are planned — and to handle 2 million TEU per year, which would make it the largest container investment in Poland's history. The project has been included in the country's most important strategic documents. The investment is contested: the environmental decision was challenged by a German citizens' initiative from the island of Usedom and by the Świnoujście association Zielone Wyspy, and in July 2025 an administrative court suspended its execution. Additional uncertainty was introduced by the withdrawal of the Qatari-Belgian operator consortium (November 2025) — the project is being continued exclusively by state entities, in the expanded Przylądek Pomerania formula.
