Reconstruction of Warszawa Zachodnia Station
A comprehensive reconstruction of the busiest railway station in Poland, comprising the modernization of platforms 1-7 and the addition of a new platform, the rebuilding of approximately 30 km of track and overhead traction network, and the construction of a wide underground passage beneath the tracks and platforms with ticket offices, waiting rooms and service points. The investment also includes an underground tram stop integrating the station with the municipal transport network. The contract with the contractor was signed in 2020, and the opening of the underground passage on 28 November 2025 completed the modernization.

Significance
The reconstruction covered the busiest railway station in Poland, through which long-distance, metropolitan and transit traffic passes. The new station with its wide underground passage connected the Ochota and Wola districts and integrated the railway with municipal transport, including an underground tram stop. The investment was, however, completed with a delay of several years: the works were originally to be finished in 2023, but in fact lasted more than five years and were completed only at the end of 2025.
