Warsaw-Radom Airport (expansion of the Radom-Sadków airport)
In 2018, Polskie Porty Lotnicze took over the failing Radom-Sadków airport (for PLN 12.7 million) and rebuilt it into the Warsaw-Radom airport. Construction began in May 2019; the new terminal, with a capacity of 3 million passengers per year, was commissioned on 27 August 2022, and the first passenger operation took place on 27 April 2023. The cost of the investment rose from the planned approximately PLN 425 million to nearly PLN 800 million, although the airport was originally to have been ready as early as 2020. Traffic remains many times lower than capacity – over the whole of 2025 the airport handled 95,000 passengers – and since 28 November 2025 the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Lublin has been conducting an investigation into the expenditure on the expansion of an amount indicated by PPL as damage of no less than PLN 812.5 million.

Significance
The terminal was prepared to receive 3 million passengers per year, but actual traffic is many times lower: 95,000 passengers over the whole of 2025, while a record June 2026 brought 16,100 travellers (approximately 22 percent more year on year). PPL subsidises the airport by tens of millions of złoty per year, and the current PPL president Andrzej Ilków assessed that this infrastructure should have been built in Modlin, and deemed the decision to build in Radom a mistake. The company filed a notification with the prosecutor's office against former management boards, indicating damage of no less than PLN 812.5 million; scenarios for changing the airport's role, including a takeover by the military, are being publicly considered. The project functions in public debate as a flagship example of a misguided public mega-investment.
