Construction of over 50 km of the dual-carriageway S10 expressway between Bydgoszcz and Toruń in Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship, carried out by GDDKiA. The investment is divided into four sections and includes seven new road interchanges (including Bydgoszcz Park Przemysłowy, Solec Kujawski, Toruń Podgórz) as well as the expansion of existing interchanges. The works are being carried out by various contractors (including Mirbud and Intercor), and the planned total cost of implementation exceeds PLN 2.1 billion, of which PLN 750 million is to be covered by EU funding (FEnIKS). The task forms part of the wider S10 Szczecin-Warsaw corridor; completion of construction is planned for 2027.

Significance

The investment closes a significant gap in the S10 Szczecin-Warsaw expressway corridor and links the two largest cities of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship - Bydgoszcz and Toruń - with a route built to expressway standards. Over 50 km of new road with seven new interchanges is intended to improve transit and regional traffic and relieve the existing national roads. The project is co-financed from EU funds (FEnIKS) in the amount of PLN 750 million.
