A new central transfer airport being developed by the Centralny Port Komunikacyjny company in the municipalities of Baranów, Wiskitki and Teresin in Mazowieckie Voivodeship, renamed "Port Polska" by Prime Minister Donald Tusk in December 2025. The construction design for the passenger terminal and railway station was accepted in August 2025; in June 2026 Budimex's bid (approx. PLN 146 million) for the terminal foundations was selected, and piling is to begin in autumn 2026. The terminal contractor is to be chosen by the end of 2026. The airport component of the multi-year programme was valued at PLN 42.7 billion; the opening – originally announced for 2027 – is now planned for before the end of 2032, together with the first section of the Warsaw–CPK–Łódź high-speed railway.

Significance

The airport is designed to be the largest air hub in this part of Europe: the first-stage terminal is to handle up to 11,000 passengers per hour (up to 45 million passengers per year in the first stage according to the plans), and its launch before the end of 2032 is to coincide with the first section of the Warsaw–CPK–Łódź high-speed railway, creating an integrated national air-and-rail transfer hub.
