WARMATE is a Polish loitering munition produced by WB Electronics S.A. of the WB Group. On 28 May 2026 in Ożarów Mazowiecki, the Armament Agency (Agencja Uzbrojenia), representing the State Treasury, and the WB Group signed a contract for the delivery of more than 400 sets of WARMATE loitering munitions, with each set comprising 10 munitions (over 4,000 units in total). The contract is worth about PLN 1.08 billion (Polska SAFE table: 1,081,835.0 thousand zloty; approximately PLN 1 billion net). It is financed from European Union funds under the SAFE mechanism. Deliveries are to be completed by the end of 2030. The system is designed to identify and engage – depending on the warhead used – lightly armoured targets or enemy infantry. This is another WARMATE order for the Polish Armed Forces; an earlier framework agreement covered nearly 1,000 sets (about 10,000 units) with deliveries by 2035.

Significance

The contract strengthens the reconnaissance-strike capabilities of the Polish Armed Forces by delivering more than 4,000 WARMATE loitering munitions. Domestic production by WB Electronics (WB Group) supports the Polish defence industry and national competencies in loitering munitions. Financing from European Union funds under the SAFE mechanism relieves the national defence budget.
