Expansion of the production potential of Zakłady Metalowe "Dezamet" S.A. in Nowa Dęba (Podkarpackie Voivodeship), a company belonging to Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, oriented towards the production of large-calibre 155 mm artillery ammunition. The investment is financed with funding of PLN 1,358,000,000 from the Capital Investment Fund managed by the Ministry of State Assets, launched as part of a package of over PLN 2.4 billion for four PGZ ammunition companies (alongside Mesko, Nitro-Chem, and Gamrat). The allocation for Dezamet, announced on 2 July 2025, is the largest single part of this package.

Significance

The expansion of Dezamet is intended to multiply the country's capacity to manufacture 155 mm artillery ammunition and to make Poland independent of foreign suppliers in this segment. According to declarations by the company and PGZ, the goal is to triple annual production of 155 mm shells – from around 50 thousand to 150 thousand units. The plant in Nowa Dęba is positioned as one of the centres for rebuilding ammunition stocks under the National Ammunition Reserve programme.
