A programme to expand and modernise the production capacity of MESKO S.A. (PGZ Group), financed with nearly PLN 887 million from the Capital Investment Fund. The investment, carried out as Project 155, is intended to increase the country's production of shell bodies and complete rounds of 155 mm artillery ammunition and to strengthen the potential of the MESKO ammunition group. The works cover the plants in Skarżysko-Kamienna, Kraśnik, Pionki, and Bolechowo and form part of the National Ammunition Reserve programme.

Significance

The investment is intended to increase the production capacity of MESKO S.A. to a level of 100 thousand rounds of 155 mm ammunition per year, and that of the entire MESKO ammunition group to as much as 180 thousand rounds per year by 2028. This is a key element in building Poland's strategic self-sufficiency in the production of the artillery ammunition most in demand within NATO, as well as a pillar of the National Ammunition Reserve programme.
