New District Hospital in Nysa (outside the flood zone)

The new district hospital in Nysa is to replace the existing facility of the Healthcare Complex, which was completely destroyed by flooding in September 2024. The modern facility will be built on safe ground not at risk of flooding in Jędrzychów on ul. Otmuchowska and will house approx. 380 beds across 12 departments, with a helipad, operating suites, and a shelter. The Ministry of Health has secured PLN 500 million from the state budget for the investment; according to the district authorities, the total cost of the undertaking is expected to be higher than the secured funding. The facility is scheduled to open and admit its first patients in the second half of 2028. Methodological note: the record's cost remains unstated in the aggregate, because PLN 500 million is the funding pool secured by the Ministry of Health (a lower bound), and the full value of the investment has not yet been officially disclosed.
