F.E.W. Baltic II Offshore Wind Farm (now PGE)

planned stage: permits

An offshore wind farm project with a capacity of approximately 350 MW, planned in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea, approximately 50 km north of Ustka, in the western part of the Słupsk Bank. The project was developed by the German group RWE (through the company RWE Offshore Wind Poland) and subsequently sold to Polska Grupa Energetyczna: a conditional agreement was announced in December 2025, and the transaction was finalised on 10 March 2026, making PGE the sole owner. PGE intends to combine F.E.W. Baltic II with the neighbouring Baltica 9 project (975 MW), creating a joint Baltica 9+ complex with a total capacity of approximately 1.3 GW (approx. 1,325 MW), planned for completion by 2032 and serviced from PGE's service base in Ustka. RWE withdrew from the project, concluding that PGE is better prepared to carry it out.

Significance

After being combined with the neighbouring Baltica 9 project, F.E.W. Baltic II is to co-create the Baltica 9+ offshore wind farm complex with a capacity of approximately 1.3 GW, one of the largest planned offshore ventures on the Polish Baltic. The acquisition of the project from RWE strengthens PGE's position in the development of offshore wind energy and the achievement of Poland's energy transition goals.
