An offshore wind farm with a capacity of 1.5 GW being built in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea, about 40 km from shore off Ustka, in a 50/50 partnership between PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna and Denmark's Ørsted. The project comprises 107 Siemens Gamesa turbines of 14 MW each, mounted on monopiles (111 monopiles in total, including 4 for offshore electrical substations). The final investment decision was taken on 30 January 2025, the first foundations were installed at sea in May 2026, and full commissioning is planned by the end of 2027. The cost of the investment is estimated in the media at about PLN 30 billion; PGE is financing its half in a project finance formula, including with PLN 11.1 billion in loans from 24 institutions and about PLN 6 billion from BGK (including PLN 5.5 billion from the National Recovery Plan), and the project has a 25-year contract for difference with the Polish state.

Significance
Once fully operational, Baltica 2 is to be the largest offshore wind farm in Poland, capable of supplying green electricity for about 2.5 million Polish households. The project is one of the largest energy undertakings currently under way in the country and a key element in the development of offshore wind power in the Polish Baltic.
