Lubiatowo-Kopalino Nuclear Power Plant (EJ1)
Construction of the first Polish nuclear power plant at the Lubiatowo-Kopalino location in the Choczewo municipality in the Pomerania region. The investor is the State Treasury company Polskie Elektrownie Jądrowe, and the project comprises three AP1000 reactors of 1250 MWe gross each, delivered together with the Westinghouse-Bechtel consortium. On 31 March 2026 the company submitted an application to the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency for a construction permit. According to the updated PPEJ schedule, construction is to begin in 2028, and the first unit is to start producing energy in 2036 (commercial operation was originally assumed for 2033). The estimated cost of the investment is PLN 192 billion, with state capital injections of up to approx. PLN 60 billion.

Significance
Currently the largest single energy investment of the Polish state: three AP1000 units of 1250 MWe gross each (approx. 3750 MWe in total) are intended to strengthen the country's energy security and deliver stable, low-emission energy in place of coal capacity being phased out.
