Central Integrated Clinical Hospital in Poznań
The Central Integrated Clinical Hospital (CZSK) in Poznań is a modern complex of five modules being built in the Grunwald district, in the area of Grunwaldzka and Przybyszewskiego streets, intended to consolidate the previously dispersed clinics of Poznań's medical community into a single facility. The investor is the Poznań University of Medical Sciences named after Karol Marcinkowski together with the University Clinical Hospital in Poznań, and the programme is financed mainly from the state budget (over PLN 520 million). Construction of the first stage was officially inaugurated on 28 July 2021; the contractor for stage IA is the WARBUD company. Ultimately the facility, with a usable area of approximately 45,000 m², is to have nearly 900 beds. The first two buildings, housing among others the Hospital Emergency Department with an operating block, were officially opened on 4 April 2024, and the transfer of medical operations from the historic buildings on Długa, Grunwaldzka and Przybyszewskiego streets was planned by 2026. In 2023 the programme's cost rose from nearly PLN 591 million to PLN 860 million (by more than PLN 269 million), and the implementation period was extended from 2020-2025 to 2020-2027. In May 2026 modules 3 to 5 together with the entrance pavilion went through acceptance works, and from 17 August 2026 the hospital admits patients in the new part at ul. Grunwaldzka 55. Further clinics are scheduled to move in the autumn of 2026. A separate consortium agreement to extend the hospital with modules 6 and 7 was signed on 15 December 2025, and its value has not been published.
